Machine Learning DevOps Engineer

About the job

DarkVision’s ultrasound imaging system collects huge datasets on the order of hundreds of gigabytes that are several kilometers long where a defect may be on the order of a few mm. It is essential that we develop algorithms for automated processing, measuring, classification and visualization of this data since manual processing is both time-consuming and inconsistent. 

As a Machine Learning DevOps Engineer, you will help build the platforms that automate Deep Learning for a variety of traditional and custom machine learning tasks. You will report to our Director of Software Engineering and be responsible for developing and maintaining machine learning pipelines in AWS that can accommodate scalable infrastructure and massive flows of data. 

Responsibilities

  • Coordinate with the Data team (end users) and Software team for feature/requirement creation
  • Help build AWS infrastructure using different tools boxes
  • Help manage and modernize the data warehouse using DevOps and MLOps best practices
  • Design and maintain ML-based continuous CI/CD pipelines using the AWS platform
  • Design and lead cloud DevOps practices in AWS
  • Proactively manage incident responses and security breaches
  • Actively maintain collaboration and knowledge sharing with other relevant teams

Expectations

  • Strong Python programming abilities
  • C++ programming abilities
  • Ability to write production level code
  • Hands-on experience with database systems
  • Proficiency in CI/CD
  • Familiar with one or more machine learning frameworks (Tensorflow, PyTorch, etc.)
  • Familiar with both Windows and Linux systems
  • Good analytical skills in linear algebra, geometry, and statistics
  • Strong communication and interpersonal skills

Preferred Qualifications

  • Experience in MLOps 
  • Experience deploying ML models and pipeline
  • Experience with cloud infrastructures (AWS, Azure, GCP)
  • Knowledge of one or more of the tools – IAC, Containerization, and orchestration (Terraform, Docker & Kubernetes) 
  • Experience developing image processing and conventional computer vision algorithms
  • Skills for building deep learning models for computer vision tasks
  • Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Electrical Engineering, Mathematics or equivalent
