Leadership

Stephen Robinson

Stephen Robinson

  • CEO
  • Vancouver

Stephen Robinson is a serial entrepreneur that has started and scaled multiple industrial imaging technology businesses. Stephen founded DarkVision in 2013, and as CEO grew the business into the most advanced acoustic imaging company in the world, culminating in the acquisition by Koch Industries in 2020. Focused on strategy and points of leverage, Stephen excels at synthesizing critical details involving markets, products, technologies, and people into clear, cohesive, ambitious and achievable plans. Stephen is very disagreeable (ranking in the 0th percentile on the Big 5 personality test), and creative, willing wanting to take unpopular risks and go against the grain, just because. He blends humour, honesty, sarcasm and charm with engineering and business into a unique combination; a combination that his last board is happy to never see again.  No stranger to start-ups, Stephen has raised close to $100M in funding, hired hundreds of employees, scaled revenues from zero to tens of millions, and won multiple awards in the process. Stephen graduated from UBC’s Electro-mechanical Engineering program in 2005 and hasn’t worked for anyone but himself since.

Graham holds both a BASc and Masters in Electro-mechanical Engineering from UBC.

Tom Littleford

Tom Littleford

  • COO
  • Vancouver

He drives company growth through innovating at the intersection of product development, operations management, business development, and technical marketing. Tom’s a Professional Engineer with a BASc in Mechanical Engineering from UBC and brings a diverse skillset from his field, operations, facilities, and production engineering roles at major mining and E&P companies. He is highly strategic, has a deep distaste for anything bureaucratic, and believes in a “do it once, do it right” mentality. Combined with his first-principles-based mindset, Tom is a pragmatic leader with ruthless attention to detail and has been instrumental in scaling DarkVision’s sales, field operations, data-analytics, marketing, and product functions through a period of high growth.
